Five target allocations
Continuum manages every portfolio to one of five models, from Conservative to Aggressive.
Choose the allocation you believe is prudent under Risk and allocation. Your choice, together with any asset classes you exclude, selects the specific products on your Recommendations screen and completes your Investment Policy Statement.
Upload a performance report
Upload the Portfolio Connect PDF downloaded from Schwab. This screen then shows the PDF as received, with the headline figures read from it. This card is put away while you present.

Where this client's recommended list comes from
For a client who was already invested before the portal, the holdings on the Schwab report can stand as the recommended list, in place of one built from the product list. Only you see this card.
Each holding needs an asset class, so the held mix can be read against the target. Holdings on your product list are placed for you.

How a review runs

Follow-ups
What you have promised to do for this household, and by when. Only you see this list.
Review status
Flag the household for the next review and leave a note for the record.
Contacts and checks
A trusted contact is someone you may reach if you are worried about the client. Beneficiary designations are worth checking at every review.
Accounts
The accounts that make up this household's portfolio. With two or more, the Recommendations screen shows the dollar amounts for each.
Client login
Not in use: clients do not sign in to the portal at present. If that changes, create a separate login for this household here. Nothing is emailed: the portal shows you a temporary password once, you give it to the client, and they choose their own on first sign-in.
Archive and removal
Download everything the portal holds for this household as one file: the record, every plan version, the assessment, meetings, report figures, the activity history, and all stored documents.
Permanently delete this household
A household must be deactivated before it can be deleted. Use Deactivate at the top of this record first.
This removes the household, its plans, meetings, reports, documents, activity history, and client login from the portal. It cannot be undone. Keep the archive with your own records before you delete; you may be required to retain client records.
- Download the household archive above.
Review packet
The assessment, policy statement, portfolio and custodian report for this household as one document. You choose what goes in, then save it as a PDF or print it.
Notes, documents and records
Your dated notes on this household and the documents you keep for it, in one list. Notes are yours alone and are put away while you present. Nothing is deleted: a removed entry stays in the archive.

Product lists
The approved products behind every recommendation. Work on the candidate list, then publish it as a new version whenever it changes. Each client's Client Assessment picks the risk profile; the allocation table turns that profile into a percent for each asset class; the list supplies the products in each class. Every published version is kept.
Candidate list
Your working draft of the next product list: one tab for each asset class, and an Allocation tab that sets how much of a portfolio each risk profile puts in each class. Nothing here reaches clients until you publish it.
Upload the weekly Finviz extract workbook, or your own workbook with one tab per asset class and an Allocation tab. Earlier workbooks with one tab per risk profile, and a single sheet with Asset Class and Model columns, are still read. An upload replaces the whole draft. Then edit below: change a weight, add a fund, remove what you do not want.

Import households
Add many client households at once from a spreadsheet, instead of typing them in one by one. Households already in the portal are updated; new ones are added. Nothing is saved until you have seen a preview and confirmed.
1Prepare your file
One row per household, with these four columns. Start from the starter file, fill it in using Excel, and save it as CSV.
| Column | What goes in it | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Household name | The name you want to see in your list | Priya & Dev Natarajan |
| Account | Your reference for the household. The portal uses it to tell whether a household is new or already exists | CG-90110 |
| Target allocation | Conservative, Moderately Conservative, Moderate, Moderately Aggressive, or Aggressive | Moderate |
| Status optional | Healthy, Review needed, or Action required. Left blank, it is set to Healthy | Review needed |
2Choose your file
Pick the CSV file you saved. Choosing a file does not change anything yet.
Or paste the rows instead
One household per line, with commas between the four columns.
3Review and import
After you check the file, every row appears here marked as new, an update, or a problem to fix. You then decide whether to import.
| Row | Household name | Account | Target allocation | Status | What will happen |
|---|
Good to know
- An update changes three things only: the household's name, target allocation, and status. Plans, documents, meetings, and logins are never touched.
- Nothing is ever removed. A household that is not in your file is left exactly as it is.
- New households start with no portfolio value. Add it on the household's Summary, or upload a Schwab report on its Performance screen.
Looking for a different upload?
- Your product list goes on the page.
- Schwab reports and signed documents are added on each household, under .
Planning assumptions
Every firm-wide number behind the Retirement Planner and "How likely is the plan to last", in one place. Change them in the draft, then publish a new version. Each saved plan keeps the version it was worked out with, so an old result can always be shown again exactly. Every published version is kept.
Draft
Starts from the version in use. Nothing changes in the planner until you publish.
By risk profile
A new plan starts from its profile's returns, and choosing an allocation on the Assessment sets them; you can still change them in any plan. The yearly ups and downs are used only by "how likely": one standard deviation of a year's return.
Retirement Planner
How likely the plan is to last
The percent is the share of market paths in which the money lasts. Below "Workable", a result reads "Worth a conversation".

Versions
Every published version, newest first. A version never changes once published.
